While her career as Warbird didn't last particularly long, it did leave something of a precedent for the name, one which the latest Warbird is looking to rewrite entirely. After having depleted the vast majority of her cosmic energies saving the world, Carol spent several months in Avengers Mansion recuperating from the physical toll that reinvigorating the sun itself had taken on her. Eventually, Carol would trade that mantle in for that of Binary, but it was in 1998's Avengers#4 by Kurt Busiek and George Perez that she would first take up the role of Warbird. When she first entered the world of super-heroics for herself, Carol went by the name of Ms. The Octonauts must help a giant sunfish who cant swim straight, before it hurts other sea creatures and itself. Fans know her best today as Captain Marvel, but that is far from the only moniker Carol has gone by. There have been several characters to go by the name of Warbird over the years, but the only one of them who has stood out as a true superhero was none other than Carol Danvers. Between that and her title, there isn't much for the others to judge their new acquaintance by - especially when the latter is so far removed from the Warbird they know best. As far as she knows, she and Aero could have been waiting idly by for days in some sort of trance until the Avengers were close enough to call on. Aero suggests returning to her own team, but her enigmatic ally instead takes them to the Avengers for help. Just when she needs it most, Aero is approached by a mysterious new figure who swoops down on massive wings to lend a hand. The alien fled from his home world, and Manphibian pursued him across several star systems in the hopes of exacting revenge. A member of his species attacked Manphibian, murdering his mate in the process. Thankfully, with some quick thinking and application of her aerokinetic abilities, the hero has managed to prevent the infection from spreading, though time is still running out. The creature known only as Manphibian was born on an unknown alien world over a thousand years ago. In the case of the Agents of Atlas' Aero, the effect of touching the dome has left her arm necrotizing at a rapid rate. The Creature Report was a daily recurring segment series that appeared separate from the UK series, and after every episode in the US series. Those caught in its path when it fell lost their lives, and so far the few who have managed to survive it haven't fared much better. The impenetrable black dome that has encapsulated the nation of Siancong is more than just a barrier to entry, but a powerful weapon in its own right as well.
