For the first time, a Singaporean will be representing the Asia Pacific Region as Vice- President for Sport and as a member on the World Motorsports Council. The top ten fastest drivers will take part in the National Qualifier to be held on 3rd January 2022. Participants are required to register a lap time on the RaceRoom leader board, opened from 24th December 2021 to 2nd January 2022. The competition is known as IUEM eRacing GP by RaceRoom. Motor Sports Singapore is looking for SIM Racing Drivers to represent Singapore to take part in this Sim Racing competition. The main event, including other eSports discipline will welcome 52 teams from 10 eSports federations in Southeast Asia that will compete for a prize pool of USD $140,000. The first Southeast Asian eSports Championship (SEA EC) 2021, organised by Vietnam Recreational E-sport Association (VIRESA) is taking place between 2nd January to 16th January 2022. SGEA was founded in 2018 to facilitate Singapore’s participation in regional and international events and competitions, promote the virtues of esports excellence and perpetuate the local esports eco system by nurturing homegrown talents, especially among youths. SGEA is the appointed National Sports Association (NSA) for Electronic Sports in Singapore and is a member of the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) and the Global Esports Federation (GEF).
